After 2002, women moved from hormone therapy to botanicals with a thinner evidence base than the thing they replaced. Cochrane pooled sixteen black cohosh trials and found a difference of 0.07 hot flushes a day. The FDA has now removed the hormone therapy boxed warnings. A story about how scrutiny gets applied in one direction only.
